With enhancement in operating speed and drop in price of DSP, the application of DSPis more and more widespread in control system. The goal of this paper is to develop alocating system of the nozzle for road lining truck. The hardware circuit and controlsoftware of the automatically locating system of nozzle were designed based on DSP.According to the operating principle of DSP TMS320LF 2407 digital circuit controller,author mainly studied the control method of tri-phase stepper motor. The hardware controlcircuit of stepper motor was designed by PWM output signals of the digital controller ofTMS320LF 2407. High-low voltage drive was adopted in this design. Output signals ofDSP TMS320LF 2407 were isolated by high rate optical HCPL4504 and then input into thedriving slug ucc27321, establishing the torque and velocity control of motor. In addition, allof controlling programs were developed in DSP assemble language that has beenmodularized.Author conducted the study on transmitting system of nozzle locating systemorientation for stepper motor after finishing hardware circuit and software programdesigning. The in-phase wheel drives the nozzle moving forward left and fight on a track sothat the position of nozzle can be accurately determined.Finally, hardware controller and computer were connected by JTAG emulator andsoftware programs were debugged by CCS. Experimental analyses showed that the controlsignal wave from oscillograph reached the expected designing aim, showing that thedeveloped system can meet expected design requirements and can be regarded as a researchplatform which is used to match with ultrasonic range finder and spraying system.
