By the development of digital information and network technology, the society has already step in the period of embedded system. The embedded sytem has combinded tightly with both Internet and industry control technology. One of the most import application is to monitor the status of local equipment which is far from the inspector. By using the embedded Internet, computer network and network communication technology,and with the help of sorts of the data collection equipment,we can reach the goal of manipulate,monitor and control the local devices which is long-distrance away.The paper has researched and implemented a data collection system which can be monitored long-distance away based onμClinux and web. It can monitor the industry real-time temperature by using web as the communication flatform. We use the embeded development platform based on S3C4510B,analysis the file structure and management of memory and multi-courses. Transplant and reconfigure theμClinux system;analysis the http server under theμClinux, and set up the Boa server under the embedded system according to the fundamental principle of the web server;program the data collection procedure using Modbus RTU protocol; using the share data file as the temporary restore of the real-time temperature data. Implement the muti-courses management base on the file lock; realized the dynamic alternation between the browser and web server though the CGI;reserch the TCP/IP protocol and socket communication under Linux,and programed the data trsmission server based on UDP socket;compared the techniques which is used to realize the continous data presentation,and analysis the feature of Java Applet,using JavaApplet techniques to present the real-time curve on the browser side.It is improved that the Java Applet can response and present the real-time dynamic curve fastly and accurately .The whole system not only has the advantages such as high speed of data acquisition and strong performance, but also can be monitored though Internet.
