Since our country adopted market-oriented economy system, the profession of mass media has being developed considerably and rapidly. Besides the system, the decisive factor is our citizen. Since we opened to the outside world, the employees in news profession in our country have been strengthened and their general qualities have been improved continuously. A large quantity of employees who do their jobs conscientiously, hold firmly to the truth, take delight in offering as a tribute and scrupulously abide by professional morals in news profession. But the transition from the old structure to the new bring many negative influences to social unavoidably, which reflected in the field of mass media is that a quite number of journalists violate the morals and corrupt phenomenon is multiplying and spreading. Compare with the achievement of economic construction, the construction of news profession morals appears to be sluggish. The phenomena of violating news profession morals leads to losing authenticity of news, which influences correct social function of news report. Therefore, in order that modern news media safeguards the public's interests better and brings about the advance in the development of harmonious society, journalists are urgently demanded to improve the quality of professional morals and act as the tongue of the public.Mass media, as opinion communication terrace and journalists, as public servants shoulder many social responsibilities. From the aspect of authenticity, reporting true and meaningful news is the first social responsibility of all mass media and news workers. And basic social ethic values, such as justice, equality, honesty, etc. can become fine social traditions of punishing evil-doers and encouraging people to do good, helping each other and respect each other. Otherwise, the society and the individual could get into vacuum of morals and it is hard to form social public morals and fine public opinions. As a result, men's behaviors will lose limitation, public opinion will weaken its function of standardizing behaviors of mass media and the phenomena of violating morals of news workers will emerge in an endless stream. So only setting up correct view on interests and values within news profession morals can the standard of profession morals of news workers be raised, the principle of equality and justice be embodied, harmonious and safe surrounding of media be constructed.This thesis discusses the settlement and strategies of the construction of news workers profession morals from the following three points: First, manifestation of moral predicament on authenticity of news. The author discusses the some phenomena of violating morals of mass media in present market-oriented economy surroundings, in order to show the harmfulness of the problems; Second, analyzes the reasons of moral predicament on authenticity of news from the aspects of the influences of unhealthy general mood of society, lack of professional morality accomplishment and lack of efficient supervision system on news broadcast. Third, seeks the settlement of moral predicament on authenticity of news from the respects of self-restrain, supervision and implementing regulations on news.
