Automatic Control System For Rare Earth Extraction Process

Rare earth extraction process automation is not only one of necessary conditions for top grade rare earth product with high purity and stabile quality, but also one of the key issues for the development of China Rare Earth Industry. Combining with the changes of rare earth extraction production process and the key technological project "industrialization technology of on-line analysis and closed-loop control for the rare earth extraction process" (2002BA315A-4) in 10th five-year plan, a modified auto control system of Rare Earth Extraction is designed according to the original one.Rare Earth Extraction Process Control system is a two-story structure, the first tier is PLC control system, the second is Monitoring Operating System. The former is composed of sequence control system, flux control system and liquid level control subsystem. The latter consists mainly of workstations, vidicon and monitor computer. Monitoring operating system has many functions, such as the setings and records of Various process parameters, the alarm and records when equipments fail, manual and automatic control of all production equipments and so on.In view of the special demands in startup and stop of the product line and flux control for rare earth extraction technics, the structure, control solution and program of the PLC control system are discussed in detail. Further, the design of the monitor operation system and operation interface for Rare Earth Extraction Process is described amply. Finally, problems exist in this system is given in brief.
