With development of modern wireless communication technology,the miniaturization,high integration level and high-performance of the systems become a researchful hot spot.With the development of mobile communication businesses, the communication frequencies have expanded to DCS(1710~1880 MHz)& PCS (1850~1990 MHz)frequency bands,and even the 3G business frequency bands (WCDMA,TD-SCDMA,CDMA2000)from GSM(880~960 MHz)frequency bands.Besides,the blue-tooth,wireless local area network frequency etc.are widely used.Antenna is one of the important component in wireless communication system, the character of a antenna will directly affect the system's communication quality. The rapid development of wireless communication technology puts higher request to terminal antenna,such as ultra-thin,super-mini and multiband etc.Therefore, research on the miniaturization and multiband for antenna has great actual values.The designs of handset antenna worked at GSM&DCS bands and blue-tooth antenna worked at 2.45GHz are the emphasis in this article.In the compact wireless communication system,microstrip antennas have been widely used for their lots of advantages,such as small size,light weight,low profile, low cost and easy to work at multiband etc.Based on abroad reference of domestic and overseas literatures,the microstrip antennas' miniaturization and multiband techniques were concluded and analyzed.Based on the requirements of mobile telephone for smaller space and dual-band work,the thesis proposed a three-dimensional monopole antenna and an Inverted-F antenna.Based on the requirements of blue-tooth antenna,a blue-tooth antenna was also proposed.These antennas are theoretical analyzed and are optimized by HFSS simulator.Based on the design results,these antennas are processed and measured(include Passive and Active measurements).The experimental results shown that the antenna completely satisfy the user's requirements and access attestation requirement.Otherwise,this article has carried out a summary on entire design process,given the design approach for handset antennas,and analysis have been carried out on some actual problems,such as, designing space request,influencing factor of bandwidth,impact of vicinity electromagnetism environment over antenna function,at the same time,this article also proposed the treatment schemes for reducing the speaker/receiver effects and feed layout.They are useful for shorting research period and decreasing risk.
