E-use hard disk is a nonvolatile memory as a kind of electronic storage media hard disk. E-IDE hard disk interface used with mainframe system connected. Hard disk controller as the main control chips for the hard drive to achieve functional, Its design is based on FPGA as a vector. Electronic hard disk controller design method used is based on IP core SOC (SYSTEM ON CHIP) EDA design .At present NOR and NAND are now the two main nonvolatile flash memory technologies in the market. Intel developed the NOR Flash technology firstly, which completely changed the market that EPROM and EEPROM had dominated for a long time. Shortly afterward, Toshiba issued a NAND Flash structure that emphasized reducing the cost per bit, higher performance, and the same as the disk interface which can be easily upgraded. Although NAND Flash does not have many advantages compared with NOR Flash, as NAND Flash's address, data and command share one bus, operation of NAND Flash is much more complex than that of NOR Flash to simplify the operation of NAND Flash, we can design a controller which will introduce a glueless interface to it.This paper place emphasis on NAND Flash and presents the design process of such a NAND Flash controller, connected to the controller give NAND Flash the appearance of an SRAM, then external operation becomes very simple. In addition, this paper also introduced the ECC algorithm and its realization in the controller.
