Research And Application Of ZigBee 2006 Protocol Stack

With the development of the wireless technology, ZigBee is paid more attention to in the aspects of social information, smart home and industrial automation. And a lot of research institutes are doing the research and application of the ZigBee protocol stack. Nowaday, there are three main ZigBee specifications, those are ZigBee 2004, ZigBee 2006 and ZigBee Pro specification. But they are not compatible with each other. The recent stacks are designed according to the ZigBee 2006 specification, and TI's ZigBee stack is widely used.The main functions of the ZigBee 2004 specification has been realized on MC13213 using Freescale codewarrier 5.0. But its stability need be tested and its functions need be improved, which is suitable for the experiment research. Meanwhile, TI issues the ZigBee 2006 stack for commercial applications. In the thesis, ZigBee 2004 protocol stack will be improved on the analysis of different ZigBee specifications including the realization of its security layer. And the application encapsulation of TI's ZigBee 2006 protocol stack is needed for simplifying the process of application, and a series of application commands will be designed and realized.At last the basic functions of ZigBee 2006 will be tested. And design a wireless data acquisition system based on ZigBee to test the application encapsulation.
