| Electronic Made to Measure is a new mode of clothing production in the 21st century. EMTM utilizes 3D body scanning technology, computer technology and network technology to combine body model building, body shape analysis, body measuring, clothing design, style choice, clothing order, clothing production together. It has realized the convenient and swift industry chain. It will become the research focus and hotspot in the field of academe and business and the main means of garment producing. A serial of digital clothing body templates are produced by gathering plenty of samples and a certain template can be selected based on the individual figure, thus the personal model fitting his/her figure is formed. Then measure it and individual clothing prototypes that meet the individual's special demand will be produced, based on which, a serial of dress styles can be designed. EMTM system produces and customs garments centering completely on customers so as to meet customers' personal requirements and make it possible to produce clothing in large number, thus greatly increases the efficiency of clothing production and decrease the development cycle of its products.A very important middle product of EMTM is individual clothing prototype for individual body shape character. The individual clothing prototype is related to parameters which are got from individual digital clothing body by measuring. The digital clothing body measuring and individual clothing prototype are the two key technologies of eMTM system. It measure the digital clothing body model and get the parameters of the digital clothing body, which is used to generate the individual clothing prototype of the digital clothing body. It will provide theory for clothing style designing and industry's custom-made automatically and quickly.This paper discusses mainly on building digital clothing body measuring model and individual clothing prototype generating model. The digital clothing body measuring model firstly classifies the parameters of the digital clothing body. It provides the concrete methods to resolve the problems in getting different parameters of digital clothing body, such as line, curve and full, by using NURBS and convex hull. It is necessary to generate individual clothing prototype. The individual clothing prototype generating model defines the parameters set which is needed by generating individual clothing prototype. And analyses and resolves the problems in designing dart, shoulder, neckline of the individual clothing prototype. At last, it provides the mapping relations between parameters set and the individual clothing prototype, and realizes the automatic generating of the individual clothing prototype.This paper regards "The key technology research of Electronic Made to Measure with China and Europe cooperation" as the background of studying and discusses the digital clothing body measuring & individual clothing prototype's generating and relevant key problem and difficulties. It provides theory and tech basis for the research and reality of eMTM system. The research work of this paper will play a good role for future research and popularization of EMTM in our country. |
