TETRA digital trunked systems provide secure, reliable and efficient voice and data communications. They are being widely used in many countries around the world and also being used by many in.dustries in our country. At present, the TETRA digital trunked systems used in China are all made by foreign manufactures. They are too expensive and threatening our National Security. Therefore, it is very important to develop TETRA digital trunked system with our own independent intellectual property right.TETRA digital trunked network management interface is the base of the TETRA digital trunked network management system development, and is one of the most important part of TETRA digital trunked system. It provides the connection and operation interface between Manager, Agent and management information database.Network manager can manage the network using these interface. Therefore , the development of TETRA digital trunked network management interface is the key of the development for TETRA digital trunked system.The thesis summarizes the technology characteristics of TETRA digital trunked system, technology relate to network management system and its developing direction nowadays. Based on analysing function requirement of TETRA digital trunked system, selection of network management protocol and management network frame, network management function adviced by TMN and Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP) are searched. The developing languages, tools and method are given after analyzing and comparing several methods for development of SNMP Agent and SNMP protocol operation interface.Based on C/C++ language, network management interface function are implemented by using AdventNet Agent Toolkit C Editon 6, Microsoft Visual Studio C++(2005) and HP SNMP ++ and the usability and correctness tests are made.The test results denote that the interface achieve the designed fuction and can be used for development of TETRA digital trunked network management system. The thesis contains 62 figures, 5 tables and 32 references.
