Research And Implementation Of Query System For The Information Of Supermarket Merchandise Using Cellphone

Supermarket which sells various kinds of commodities can be found everywhere in all of the country. In the supermarket, one commodity has many brands for the customers to choose. In this case, customers have more space to choose the commodities they like, but this also takes another problem for the customers to make an ultimate decision to buy the things they need. So some information relative to the commodities is required urgently to help the customers to make decisions. In the other hand, supermarket can also use the information about the commodities to choose the better stock channel.This paper designs and realizes a more convenient and effective platform for the query of the commodities information making use of the wireless mobile device, Internet platform and the existing database management system in the supermarket on the basis of the customers' requirements and the supermarket actual status. Based on the inner management system of the supermarket, modern mobile communications technology and the merchandise information resources, besides the basic information just like the prices or the producers of the merchandise, this study has also supported the information related to the quality of merchandise, such as the environment of production bases or the estimation for the producers. This provided a powerful support of data for the customers to search the information about the commodities they want to buy. Another convenience taken by the system is that the query can be used everywhere in the supermarket.Firstly, this paper analyses the requirement of farm products' quality information in the national market, and concludes that it is necessary to build one. Comparing with kinds of relative techniques and considering the features of farm products sold in the supermarket, the paper proposes a farm products' quality tracking system built in the supermarket.Then, with the demand of searching the farm products quality information in real time, the paper proposes to use the mobile phone with the ability of photographing to get the bar code image from the farm products, and take use of the cell phone and the mobile electronic service now supported by the China Mobile. At last, customers send it to the mobile corporation for the information of farm products' quality. Though the mobile phone has the ability for photographing, it has the weak points such as blurring or noise points in the image, out-of-focus etc. So the paper supports a decoding system for analyzing the bar code image taken by the mobile phone camera, and uses the results for the query of farm products' quality information.The whole system uses the technologies of mobile network communication, database, web services, image analyzing and processing, distributed network, and realizes the farm products' quality tracking system for the customers who can query for any farm products information in real time. It makes sure that customers can buy safe and healthy farm products with the supports of knowing the relative information, and at the same time, it brings more profits for the mobile electronic business.
