Abstract/Summary:
No doubt French scholar Jean Baudrillard is one of the most prominent and controversial Thinker in the current age. From the view of technology he began his research on the new communication, information and media technology in the 1970s.This research has opened a new way to the media technology and social relationship; at the same time it has offered a new point of view to get familiar with the modern media world. Jean Baudrillard's post modern-media theory, which based on the reflection of the fundamental new features of electronic media, interaction and hypothesis showed its importance in the world.Jean Baudrillard is also a pioneer to create a way that the object is encoded to be a system related to the code and meaning in a media and consumer dominated society from the view of the code theory. Through the study the code theory, which has melted the critic of Marxism Critics and Economy and Socialism of Consumer from the point of view of code. Through analysis of the consumer society in the sense of code,Jean Baudrillard applied conceptions such as, code symbol simulacrum simulation and hyper-reality etc. to describe social life and modern world; Through the analysis of The System of Objects, symbol exchange, code value and advertisement in the modern society, his particular post- modem world media theory, with a belief that it is media that created the simulacrum culture in the post-modern world is formed through the study of the logic of the code system and technological operation.This thesis begins with analyzing Bauderillard' social thought, probing into his research fields such as The System of objects and consumer society, symbol exchange and code value, simulation and simulacrum and advertisements. In the end is summary of his post modern media theory to the meaning ness to the current Chinese society.
