Taking advantage of the technological innovation, Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) can be a vital tool in such a competitive scenario. This tool can make the Power Corporation to enforce the power load control and the company's management .The solution for the power load control which together with software and hardware based on ARM and GPRS meets the demand of the current market in the power load management.This thesis is about the research and design of using GPRS in Power Load Management System .The work mainly develops GPRS terminal used in Power Load Management System. The thesis describes the design and debugging of the hardware and software system. Possess its own PPP protocol is the outstanding characteristic of this paper and the protocol is successfully applied to GPRS terminal. So the client software have strong expansibility and following replantation in the future.Firstly, the thesis introduces the back ground, purpose, significances of Electric Power Load Management System and points out the disadvantage of current system of our country by contrast the overseas. With the development of wireless communication technology of GPRS and CDMA, it will hope to improve the defaults.Secondly, the thesis introduces the GPRS wireless communication technology, and understand the GPRS data transfer protocol principle that the TCP/IP and PPP protocols. And also introduce the overall framework and communication ways of the Electric Power Load Management System.Thirdly, the thesis carefully describes the design of hardware about the GPRS terminal. The design of hardware includes the ARM microprocessor hardware system desigm Serial Port Expansion Circuit Design and GPRS module circuit design. In the end, the thesis carefully describes the Network Protocol in GPRS, the main is PPP protocol. It detailedly introduce the PPP agreement structure, operating mechanism and consultation process, and then carefully describes the software design of PPP protocol. In addition, the paper also introduced the design of dial up internet access in GPRS.In practice, the electric power load management terminal based on GPRS runs reliably to improving meets the demands of users. It is of great significance safety and economical operating level of distribution network and enhancing the energy management and power supply quality. |
