Development And Implementation Of An Illegal Traffic Information Processing And Communication System

With the rapid development of communication technologies, especially the development of wireless mobile communication technologies, the information transportation and information management is more and more intelligent and convenient. It appears almost all the aspects in society. The mobile services are more and more needed in communication applications and it is kept rapid increments. The short message service (SMS) based on GPRS/GSM platform is particularly outstanding. That is because of SMS is of some advantages prefer to other communication style. Therefore, it is widely used in modern wireless remote distributed information management system.This article concerns on the design and implementation of a traffic information management system (TMIS) based on SMS communication. On account for this consideration, we first studied the generations of mobile communication technologies, and discussed their developing trend in future. Then we introduced the SMS communication protocol structure, work flow of commands and controls, gateway of SMS, SMS communication models of point to point and broadcasting. The SMS add-value services and multimedia SMS are simply introduced. In addition, the structure of GSM module MC51i of Simmon Corp. is deeply studied, The wireless SMS communication protocols and commands combined with RS232 serial port in a computer are designed and implemented. Based on these efforts, we exploit our intramural police information system, and combined it to design a traffic management information system. We showed our design scheme and the system structure in this article. In detail we introduced the management functions design such as information gathering, message bursting mode, and SMS control. Finally, some results of our designed TMIS system running applications are shown in this article.
