The arable land resource is increasingly nervous in the world, and the important wayof agricultural development is to develop facility agriculture, it has gradually been noticedall around the world. By referring to the domestic and foreign related greenhousemonitoring system papers, and design an intelligent greenhouse control system whichbased on embedded ARM and wireless communications GPRS technology. This systemhas corresponded to the current requirement of greenhouse remote control and hasresolved the default of the arrangement of wire which based on the bus too.This system adoptes the Client/Server mode.In terms of hardware design,it took themicrocontroller as the core of the client,uses the modularized structure design, and theenvironmental data of the greenhouse can be gathered though wireless network.Thissystem is more flexible and it has increased the ability of expanding and transforming. Thedesign implement an intelligent greenhouse monitor system which is composed of ARM9application processor, embedded linux operating system, and BenQ M22-chip basebandprocessor.By comparing several current embedded operating system, this system chose theembedded linux operating system which has free resources, powerful network function,and good portability. The embedded development platform was built by transplatingbootloader, configuring and compiling kernel, building root filesystem. The paperexplained the process of embedded development platform.Through the simulation greenhouse environment test,the results showed that thetemperature and humidity data could be transmitted by greenhouse ARM controllers andthe GPRS. The greenhouse environment monitoring software of remote centralmanagement device could complete the monitoring tasks, and the accuracy of this systemcould correspond to the greenhouse agricultural production requirements.
