| Nowadays, the implementation of digital audio processing is mainly focused on the development of platform using DSP or ASIC as the core. There are several disadvantages: the ability of concurrent processing is weak, the system can not get update and on line configuration easily and etc. On the other hand, the design of recent solution is mainly on process chip, but there is less attention of audio codec chip. Furthermore, the whole design approach from chip level to PCB level has not been mentioned yet. According to the problems above, there are three aspects of research in the article:1. A general audio processing platform based on FPGA is proposed, which is different from the current solutions with MCU, DSP and other ASICs. The architecture and design flow of the platform gets reasoned, and do some research on the embedded audio processing system.2. The complete design flow from chip level to PCB level is proposed, and the system is realized. The design of FPGA and PCB gets finished, the detailed RTL and PCB layout are offered.3. The experiment and analysis is mainly on: PCB's signal integrity analysis and optimization, experiment and analysis on every module of the FPGA. The result proves the rationality and practicability of the system. The solution of this article is composed of FPGA and an audio codec chip, which can fully make use of the FPGA's merits on digital signal processing. |
