Research On Key Technologies Of Production Management System For Lean Production

Lean production adopts the pull mode to control the production process. The production plan of a work station depends on the requirements of its subsequence work station, therefore the excessive production and invalidation labor can be eliminated, and the maximum benefit can be obtained. However, in the real production process, because there are many kinds of products and their configurations are different each other, it is very hard to accurately and timely control the production of these products. It is necessary to use information technology to control the production process.Based on the analysis to the lean production process of a motor parts manufacturing company, an information solution scheme was proposed for the company in order to improve the management further. According to the actual business processes of each department of the company, the data flow charts of the company are determined. Using these data flow charts and UML method, the database of controlling the lean production process is designed. To manage the production of multiple products in an unique method, a configurable template for describing the products is put forward and used to import the BOM of each product into the management system. The production tasks can then be dispatched automatically based on the BOM, which make the production management simplified dramatically and that the quick response to the production requirements can be satisfied. For simplifying the management of materials in shop-floor, the material storage management is integrated with the production management in order that the minimum storage of materials can be controlled. In addition, to realize the just in time production, the immediate synchronized message mechanism is applied to quickly inform the related departments once any event (like new production task, material shortage, facility trouble, and so on) occurs.According to the research mentioned above, a management system for lean production is developed upon J2EE and MVC architecture. The system has been successfully applied in the company. It can be concluded that the system can effectively help the company overcome the management problems encountered during production process.
