| The Course Plotter system is one of the important ancillary equipment of shipping navigation system. With the development of computer technology, the intelligent navigational plotted equipment needs to be further broadened functions, smaller, lower power consumption, reducing costs and improving reliability. So the research of an intelligent digital navigation Course Plotter based on ARM and FPGA has great significant theoretical significance and practical value.This paper introduced the development background of Course Plotter system, analyzed the problems which the traditional Course Plotter had, and based on the using requirement gave an overall improvement design project of system. Firstly, which the design selected the board based on chip (ARM processor S3C44B0X which produced by Samsung), improved the design flexibility; which aiming at the special using requirements of Course Plotter system designed the network interface, bus interface and other peripherals circuit, saved unnecessary expenses, increased the system's response time. Secondly, design of impulse generation and interface board which selected FPGA component XC2S50 and using VHDL language programming, improved the system integrative, ensured the real-timing and stability, and made hardware design and development easier. Thirdly, which the using of electromagnetic induction digital plates, designed a closed-loop control system for Course Plotter, and in accordance with the requirements of system gave the FNNC (Fuzzy Neural Network Control) algorithm, enhanced working stability, reduced error and improved the accuracy of mark. Fourthly, from the perspective of software engineering, the Course Plotter's functional modules of man-machine interaction, CAN bus communication, Ethernet communication, drawing control, model calculation and so on, ware designed, and the corresponding module functions ware carried out under the VxWorks embedded operating system. Finally, the paper presented the analysis of the noise and vibration, and an improvement design was given by increasing the subdivision driver of step motor which usually produced the low-frequency vibration.The improvement design project of new type intelligent Course Plotter reduces costs, enhances the pertinence of function, saves system resources. The optimization of transformation against the step motor part of traditional Course Plotter reduces the working vibration and noise, improves the accuracy of mark, and enhances reliability. |
