This project makes use of Parametric technology to develop CAD system of fixture.It can solvesome Problems of tradiation fixture such as long design Period,low design efficiency and soon.Therefore,it can increase design speed,reduce repetition laboring and satisfy rapid and flexible request of modern manufacture system. As a result,increasing competing power of the enterprise.Unigraphics is the most advanced and close integral CAD/CAM/CAE software in the field of manufacturing industry. Its open architecture provides abundant of development ways meeting customer's requirements and permits the user to design application program to expand new function. On the basis of the conclusion to WTB factory experience, special system of designing and application to blade-die has been researched on with the help of UG/Open GRIP.This thesis mainly introduced the development of the UG software for the application of the turbine blade Fixture designing, and on the foundation of the investigation,the author built a Fixture-designingCAD system based on UG software. In this process the author has done many works: investigated the developed technique of the UG software, and has written some programs for the System; investigated the method of parametric design for parts, built the expandableparts library. Put emphasis upon the method of parametric design of parts, under this circumstance,and present the method of assembly parametric design based on assembly constraints. Through the further development of CAD,this method is put into practice and thus set up a parametric design system based on universal CAD system for a kind of typical fixture .When developing this system,the author combined theory with practice tightly,and proved which is feasible;Generate the drawings of parts automatically;Generate the menu for the further development, and make it standardization, visualization, simplification;At last, the author built the UG drafting templates,which laid the foundations for the research and application of CAD for turbine blade tool designing.
