With the success on research and development of hardware system of industrial embroidery machine type I, the software must ensure that the process is clear and the code is definite, to ensure stability and scalability. However, in the development of industrial embroidery machine type I controller software, with the increasing understanding of the functional requirements of embroidery machine, the original ideas were frequently revised, the software structure was confused by the disorderly increase in code, the system stability, software readability and scalability was greatly reduced.In view of the above problems, on the basis of mastering embroidery machine working principle of the hardware and software view, the software processes and various control strategies are re-designed, and a more clear and effective software design is proposed by this paper.Software view is that of the controller model from the perspective of software developers. Through the analysis of the embroidery machine function and control system hardware principle, this paper presents the software view of the industrial embroidery machine controller`s main function, so that effective software design can be lunched.On the reservation of original thought of the system software, this paper adjusts the software architecture of motion control task, and re-plans the driven strategy of shaft motor and step motors. Frame-stopping on the drawbars and error handling strategies are also improved.Then, the details of the software of motion control task was designed. Against the defect of the separation between normal embroidering and idling in the original software, the forward and backward processes were re-designed. To adapt to the new software processes, the algorithm of get needles, color-switch and jump-needles were re-designed.On the analysis of characteristics and compensation principle of satin stitches, this paper presents a simple and effective satin stitches compensation algorithm, to meet the different needs of embroidery cloth materials.Finally, some of the problems of the research and development were summarized, and the next steps of the lating development were outlooked.The embroidery machine software architecture and design of the code have already been realized in the industrial embroidery machine type I by the production sector. Results of operations of field production tells that this paper's software architecture and code design have increased the system stability, effectively reduced the line disconnection rate, and increased the efficiency and stationarity of motors. All of that create a good market conditions for industrial embroidery machine type I.
