As manufacturing enterprise information continues to deepen, enterprise real-time data on the demand is not satisfied, this situation often affects the production and decision-making. By using the mobile communication technology, a manufacturing Enterprise can achieve the agile production, greatly enhance efficiency and effectiveness and improve respondence to market demand.Facing today's fierce competition, manufacturers must provide the best qualified products and the best customer service with lowest manufacturing cost and fast response to win the most valuable market position. They need to provide the right information at the right time and make the right decision. So they must use modern communication and information technology and tools to transport and process necessary information to make the right and useful information reach to right position in the enterprise.According to the actual demand in manufacturing enterprise, a mobile information system architecture including three-tier structure based on SMS and WAP is introduced. With the requirements of a manufacturing group corporation, this paper study the application of mobile communication in the enterprise management, the key technologies such as SMS and WAP PUSH technology, systems integration are also studied, and design a mobile business information platform using J2EE technologies.The main results are as follows:1. Summarize the application of mobile communication technologies based on SMS and WAP, study the characteristics of mobile commerce, application model, the advantages of applying mobile information technology in the enterprises, and research the application form in the manufacturing enterprises.2. Analysis the mobile information solutions based on SMS in the manufacturing enterprise, and introduce the SMS-based mobile information system application model.3. According to the actual demand of a company, design and develop a J2EE-based open platform for mobile commerce based on SMS and WAP.4. Analysis the SMS-based mobile business system architecture, and research the key technologies about how to mobile the information, integrate metadata and visit the mobile information safely.
