With the popularization of the Internet, increment of the bandwidth, and the improvement of the sound compression technique, VoIP technique transferring multimedia such as sound and video by network is developing prosperously. But criminal offenders on network are also interested in VoIP area, and the network security problem associated with VoIP is growing day by day. As a result, people gradually take harmfulness caused by VoIP into account. This paper is engaged in solving the VoIP security pressures in existing network environment, and provides practical and effective monitoring means to realize the tracing and locating of the VoIP user.The existing network tracing methods mainly aim at tracing network attackers in IP network circumstance, basically are established in tracing on IP layer. Therefore, It is not quite suitable in tracing VoIP users. In this situation,this paper presents the approaches of tracing VoIP user and the implementation of systems. The main finished task includes:Firstly, this text detailed analyses the main feature and process of current network tracing, and made a comparison on advantages and disadvantages of different tracing methods. The network tracing and VoIP user tracing are similar in many places, so VoIP user tracing scheme can use network tracing technique for reference. Additionally, this paper also indicates counterpart locating method of different connecting mode.Secondly, this article analyses the feature of VoIP internet work communication, takes the most used speech establishing and controlling signal in VoIP technology: H.323 and SIP protocol for example, respectively presents scheme of tracing VoIP user by signal, media and access gateway, and provides clue and method for the design of the VoIP user tracing and locating system.Thirdly, this paper brings up a modularized design of VoIP user tracing and locating system and goes into details to the design and function of the key modular, then respectively presents optimized proposals on the key components which impact system performance, such as data capture module and protocol recognition module.At last,We verify the validity of the design by unit testing, unite testing and true environment testing.
