SF6 high voltage circuit breaker is one of the most important electric devices in power system and has the dominating position in high voltage and super-high voltage field. Its running security not only affects itself, but also has influence on other devices, even on the whole power net. For a long time, there are many badly defects in the traditional scheming maintenance such as deficient maintenance, superfluous maintenance, blindness maintenance, accidents because of improper overhaul and so on. Therefore, the high performance monitoring of SF6 high voltage circuit breaker is subjected to widespread concern.With the rapid development of MCU technology and communication technology, many advanced equipment with artificial intelligence and field-bus are present recently. More functions and high measure precision are available because of these monitors with new micro-electronics technology.In this paper, the development of the monitor of SF6 high voltage circuit breaker and the technology of field-bus in monitor system are introduced at first. With the analysis of arts and crafts of the monitor, the whole design frame is been carried out. And some arithmetic of parameter conversion of SF6 is also discussed in this paper.The project of the intelligent SF6 high voltage circuit monitoring and control system is expounded in detail. The hardware and software design of the sub-monitor mainly based on digital sensor chip NPX and mixed-signal System-on-Chip MCU Cygnal F330 are most important part in the system.The RS-485 field-bus is used in the intelligent monitoring and control system to connect the sub-monitors and the center computer, and the data transmitting protocol of the field-bus is also illuminated in the paper. The data gathered by the sub-monitor is transmitted to the center computer and stored in database in computer. The center computer forecasts the state of the SF6 by dealing with the history data to give an alarm signal in advance if the SF6 is leaking out.
