In company with embedded system's comprehensive application and network becoming popular, embedded system accessing network has become an important direction and inevitable trend of embedded system application. Embedded Web Server is an important aspect of embedded system networking. The implementation of web server on embedded system not only overcomes embedded system's rigid user interface but also supplies a kind of mode of embedded system long-distance application.A scheme of embedded web server implementation on 8-bit mcu is put forward on the base of TCP/IP stack protocol research. It included TCP/IP protocol and CGI method. Both of them have been introduced in this paper. TCP/ IP protocol is a huge and complicated protocol. As the limited resource and slow processing speed of 8-bit microprocessor, it is impossible to implement the whole protocol. TCP/IP protocol should been simplified including the amount of protocols every layer and the content of every protocol. Of course the simplification should ensure that system can run steadily and safely. ARP,IP,TCP and HTTP have been implemented. A Web server application is provided on the base of HTML and CGI protocol.In the end, based on the simplified TCP/IP stack protocol, the ping-pong test is used to design a concrete test model and algorithm. After the test of data link, TCP and UDP layer, a detailed analysis of system performance statistics is provided to verify that the simplified TCP/IP stack protocol meets the requests of application.
