Bluetooth is a new technology on wireless data and audio communication in short distance,which features convenience for use,high-dependability,low cost,and low power.It fits connecting peripherals to computers and setting up personal area network.Bluetooth has been given abroad attention immediately as soon as it was brought forward.The members of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group(SIG)includes nearly all the great corporations which are well known in communication,network,IC,peripheral and software industries in the world. This indicates Bluetooth will be apply broadly in the future and has a great latency market.A Bluetooth system may be divided to three parts:low hardware layer , middle software layer and high application layer. Bluetooth software protocol stack is an important part of the structure. It also is the key of all kinds of Bluetooth function. The main task is to develop the application in the RFCOMM protocol layer, build a wireless connection between two remote devices through the way that to control the master device and the slave device. Then, use the Serial Communication Program to send and receive the data and realize a completed application solution of Bluetooth Serial Communication.In this thesis, firstly, the basic concepts, structure features, Security Mechanism and the comparison with the other wireless technique of Bluetooth are introduced. Then, in order to lay the theoretic foundation for the development, principle and features of L2CAP, HCI, SDP and RFCOMM protocols which are the core protocols in Bluetooth are described in detail. At last, the design scheme is given and the detail of the Serial Port Profile and the Serial Communication software are completed.
