Analysis On Characteristics And Functions Of Olympic Reports In Different Newspaper

The Olympic Games which hold every four years is a global sporting event,also become the focus of media attention. Analyze the Olympic reports on the different types of newspaper in our country including official newspaper of China's Party Committee,City Newspaper,Sports Specialty Newspaper to grasp the feature of Olympic report,to explore the media how to report Olympic Games better and to fulfill the social function of newspaper.Adopting qualitative research and quantitative research as the major research methods during the study.We also adopt textual analysis,content analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods.In order to grasp the different types of Olympic report features and function fully and thoroughly,we use the theory of framework,media' s social function,national identity,the humanities in sport reports as analytical tools.Generally speaking,different newspaper's Olympic reports in our country show up the features that the particularity of reports,column-alism of special reports,the interaction between the audience and the medias work together, lack of humanistic care and so on.Different types of newspapers also show the different characteristics on Olympics reports.Party committee official newspaper's Olympic reports transit from the propaganda pattern to the information pattern, paying attention to the spread of the Olympia spirits and to build a national identity;while the city newspaper uses style of entertainment,trying to presented the audiences an entertainment's Olympic prospect;and professional newspaper of sports stressed on professional interpretation to provide a multi-dimensional vision for the audience.
