Design And Implementation Of Intelligent Home Monitoring System Based On Embedded Linux

In this information flourishing age,the pace of life is speeding up and the way of life is being changed.What people want from home life is no longer limited to large space and beautiful environment.However,people need higher level living environment in comfort,convenience,efficiency and security.Home intelligent video monitoring system offers a simple,practical and efficient method to realize home security.This method changes the way of people's life in deed.By analyzing and studying the features,current situation and development trend of home intelligent monitoring system,this paper proposes and implements an ARM embedded system which is combined with intelligent remote home monitoring of wireless communications.The detail research accomplishments can be briefly stated as follows:The system adopts Samsung S3C2440 processor for core,and DTGS-800CDMA wireless communication module and multiple sensor modules for the external function modules to make sensor collect various indoor signals such as concentration of gas,indoor temperature,strangers break-in etc.and automatically control CDMA module to send alarm SMS to the host or call the police emergency telephone etc..In addition,USB video camera procedure is integrated in this system, which makes it more practical.In this paper,the environment needed by embedded Linux system is established according to system function,including cross-tool chain,BootLoader,kernel configuration,kernel compile,etc..SMS protocol based on AT between DTE and MODEM is analyzed,wireless alarm program is developed,and netwok video capture program in Linux environment is integrated.This systerm realizes the remote monitoring function of home information successfully.The innovation of this paper lies in the fact that the system will not only meet the basic monitoring requirements,can also receive wireless alarm signals through the CDMA module,which can really achieve the purpose of intelligent monitoring.Thus, wherever you are,as long as there are cell phone signals,you can receive alarm signal in time.
