The virtual reality has become the trend in many fields;virtual training is an important aspect of the virtual reality,so this paper would propose the virtual simulation console system. The virtual simulation console can not exist without Human-computer interaction(HCI).HCI means communications between user and computer. The usability evaluation of HCI is a very important problem,so the research content of this paper has been put forward.Firstly, the overall design of the centralized console is analyzed. The right tools which are needed in the task are chosen after comparing some popular 3D modeling and simulation tools.Data glove, stereo glasses and other equipments are introduced. The working theories and the ways to implement them are given, too. Those are decisive to the virtual human-computer interaction operating system's success.A system with scene roaming and collision detection is designed and completed by Vega Prime and the HCI equipment.Secondly, the HCI usability evaluation is cited into the designing and development of virtual simulation console system,as interaction between the human beings and computer is the characteristic of virtual simulation console system, three principles of designing the virtual simulation console HCI user media are brought forward. After studying the HCI usability evaluation, according to quality indicators of virtual simulation console,to improve the available existing evaluation methods, two available evaluation methods based on the mandate of the GOMS level quantitative model and Questionnaire of users interaction Satisfaction(QUIS) are put forward. The usability of virtual simulation console system is evaluated by the model based on the mandate of the GOMS level quantitative and QUIS.
