Wireless sensor network (WSN) is a hot research field. It is made up of a large amount of sensor nodes which communicate with each other by radios and accomplish some specific functions. WSN has broad prospects in fields of military, environment, medical, family, etc. Generally speaking, WSN is not an isolated network, it also needs to interconnect with Internet by someway, so that people can search, order and use it expediently. Interconnection between WSN and Internet plays a significant role in driving the development of network technology in the future.TCP/IP protocol is communication standard for Internet. When comes to interconnection between WSN and Internet, the key point is to research how to combine WSN and TCP/IP. This thesis proposes a Service Provided Model of Connecting Wireless Networks with Internet based on IPv6 Protocol, which adds a Service Manage platform for current WSN reference model. This thesis designs the protocol of Services Provided Model through adopting hierarchical network architecture, and analyses the key technologies in detail, including address mapping, routing protocol, multi-user services oriented optimization strategy and so on. Service Provided Model resolves the trouble of how to connect WSN with Internet in the view of service providing. This make the WSN unite with Internet tightly. Compared with other methods, Service Provided Model has the advantage of network consistency, user transparence, inheritance of routing protocol, data-centered, low power consumption, easy to combine business and provide service. Finally, in order to validate the performance of Service Provided Model, the thesis designs and actualizes an experiment system, which constitutes WSN and Service gateway. The experiment results show that the Services Provided Model of connecting WSN with Internet is very convenient to request WSN Service. User can obtain services only by IPv6 address and port number without understanding how WSN works. It is a transparent access way for users. Furthermore, on the basis of functions remained, the Model can decrease times of searching WSN, which can reduce energy consumption and prolong network lifecycle.
