At present, the integrated product development has become a new mode of product development,product design method of serialized design with the initial structural and size changes has been converted into product rapid design for the entire life cycle-oriented. In order to improve product development speed, respond quickly to market, and for gantry crane design requirements, this paper, in accordance with the relevant theory of integrated product development, studied thoroughly the generalized parametric design methods and techniques, set up product integrated intelligent model and the parallel cross-functional work environment, developed a three-dimensional parametric design systems of gantry crane. Practice has proved that it substantially shorten the product development design cycle,reduce production costs,and improve product quality. The specific contents are as follows:(1) On the basis of introduction of integrated product development concepts and background,and the development trend of crane design and research at home and abroad were reviewed, the thesis studied the generalized parametric design of the theoretical framework and its key techniques and methods, including object-oriented technology , knowledge integration, as well as modular, parametric design approach to a detailed introduction;(2) Combining product holographic assembly idea, the thesis studied the gantry crane generalized three-dimensional parametric assembly modeling methods. And according to their structural features, the use of flexible modules delineation completed gantry structure configuration design;(3) The thesis studied the gantry crane parametric design key technologies, expounded the secondary development technology and data management techniques, and described procedures for the parameter setting, interference checking,three model-driven in detail. The system has a parallel and integrated distinctive characteristics,achieving not only a single module parameters drive but also gantry structure automatic assembly;(4) The thesis studied engineering drawings adjust technology after three-dimensional parametric drive,expanding the parametric design concepts. Through knowledge extraction, dislocation calculation, the user interaction and so on, it achieved the automatic adjustment of process information,such as view ratio,pixel location,dimensioning label,materials schedules,roughness,welding symbols,tolerance and so on;(5) The use of secondary development of technology, in the three-dimensional parametric modeling software SolidWorks platform, set up the gantry crane of the generalized parametric design system under integrated product development environment. The system can quickly complete a single component ,assembly and whole product parametric design and engineering drawings automatic adjustment for the gantry structure.
