| The video synchronization of On-Screen display (OSD) system is an important technology of real-time video Processing System. It is widely used on many fields such as television technology, traffic, security of city or nations, and so on. The traditional OSD technology is limited by the equipment it used. The synchronous property was not paid enough attention. As the development of embedding technology, it is possible to study on the synchronization. And the using of Phase locked loop (PLL) can improve the synchronous property toughly. In this article, a Multi-channel video synchronization of OSD system is designed, which is based on dual core: DSP and FPGA processing system. It is divided into two sub-systems: the video coding system based on DSP and the Synchronization OSD system based on FPGA. The DSP DM642 processing chip which has a strong performance is used in video coding system. As the using of H.264 codec standard, the subsystem has a high encoding rate. As the new FPGA chip has many new properties, the Digital Phase-locked loop is improved in the FPGA subsystem. Because the using of new phase-locked loop, the system has a better performance on sychronizaion. At the same time, a design on Multi-channel video processing system is given in the article. The whole system has about two strong points: one of which is that the system is a real-time system. The feature of either DSP or FPGA is sufficiently considered. The hardware resource of which is used in a considerable way. The system has a high communication bit rate. Another point is that the whole system has low power consumption, high integration, and it is completely separated from PC. So the development on this system becomes very easy and the cost of which is cheap enough for industry using. |
