Abstract/Summary:
With the in-depth understanding of the market mechanism and the knowledge-based economy, a growing number of companies wish to use management information systems to improve efficiency and enhance the overall competitiveness. In the process of developing management of information systems, developers often faced with repetitive coding and repetitive design. That will not only waste development resources, delay the development cycle, and also increase business cost. That will not conducive to the development of enterprise information, and not conducive to focus on more valuable development. Although some enterprises have adopted code generation tools to improve efficiency of development, but they have some deficiencies. A lot of code generation tools, based on Db2Code model, are without a good expansion of information. The codes generated are not flexible enough and they rarely support visual models.In order to solve the problems above, this paper analyzed the functions and architectures of the management information system, and implemented a code generator according to their features. This paper detailed the following aspects:1. Research on the management information system's functions and architectures. According to the classic cases and some projects that author developed, this type of system characteristics of the structure and function was summarized.2. Several model-driven code generators were studied. According to the advantages of code generators and the characteristics of management information system, a code generator with three working models was designed.3. The code generator with three working models was designed and implemented.4. According to the samples generated by this tool, its working was showed.In this paper, the code generator for ASP.NET-based management informationsystem successfully generated the target system, and improved the efficiency of the development. This proved the feasibility of this code generator.
