The Design And Implementation Of Virtual Reference Service System For Digital Library

With the spread of internet, the technology based on Internet is developing fast in the current library industry. Lots of paper books are unsuitable for sending round to one by one. They need new technology to transfer. To use to the greatest advantage is requested for vast electronic books and issues. So Digital Library was born. Virtual reference service is an important method in Digital Library. It provides the link between the remote readers and Administrators in library. The kernel topic of modern library is how to implement the convenient and efficient borrow books and electronic resources for remote users by network technology, and help administrator to manage the progress.In this thesis, we focus on choose an appropriate development platform and Design Pattern to complete the request of our customer. And we wish that the development platform and Design Pattern can be use to other projects in the future.There are five parts to describe the thesis. The section One, I will introduce the research background of the project. Section Two will analyze the requirement of the project. In the Section Three, I will compare several kinds of development platforms and J2EE Design Pattern. Then I will describe the general design and detail design. Section Four will introduce how to implement the project. Finally, the thesis will sum up the effect of system implementation, my job when I create the thesis, and the improvement suggestions for the system.
