The Implementation Of Picture-Text Sending And Receiving System Based On IPTC

It solved the problems of data change and Information Island, and it is also good for news reuse and intelligence search.The picture-text sending and receiving system based on IPTC is a subsystem of Picture News Editing System of XINHUA News Agency. According to IPTC and application requirements, its chief functions are changing the file formats of picture news, sending and receiving them. On the sending terminal, it sends the final format files to the destination. On the receiving terminal, its main task is parsing the IPTC files and there is also a SNMP agent module on it. Because the system will run for a long time continuously, it requires a high demand on reliability.Based on the system requirements, the analysis and design of the software were completed. By strict testing, it showed that this system met the functional and reliable demands. Now the system has been integrated into the Picture News Editing System which is in use and runs well.
