| Internet technologies are the most rapidly developed ones among IT area, the rapid development and Internet applications bring to people great convenience to their life. But because of the nature of how Internet itself is designed, Internet security is always one of the key factors that limit further development of Internet.Internet-based email service provides us simple and convenient channel for information exchange, and is widely used on Internet. Meanwhile wrong-doing of email and network scanning becomes very serious, and China UNICOM Group gets around 1000 complains everyday from overseas Anti Spam Email Organizations. If CNC could not deal with these spam email matters efficiently and in time, it will result in large amount of IP address being blocked by foreign network operators, and it will put negative influence to CNC Group's image and its network operation. At another side, CNC Group could not ideally monitor and control all sorts of spam email matters in provincial networks, neither having concrete data, nor with effective methods.In order to reduce the wrong-doing of spam email, increase the security of CNC's backbone network, and enable the Group Company to better monitoring provincial networks, we need to build complaint handling system for spam emails. This essay firstly explains the current development of Internet emails, the principal of how spam emails are produced, the harm of spam email, and the serious issues that CNC Group is facing, then provides the method and process to dealing with spam email for CNC Group.The essay then illustrates how email system works and spam emails are produced, describes up-to-date technologies and methodologies ofanti-spam-email, and discussed the technology of active scanning to detect spam emails at server ports. The essay also gives detail description and illustration to the total solution of CNC complains handling system for Spam Email (CNC-SAMS).The system analyzes the detail needs of CNC anti-spam-email handling process. Although CNC gets large amount of complain email from International Anti-Spam-Email organizations, it could not automatically analyze the detail complain information and could not sort out which provincial companies owns the complained IP addresses. Therefore, many complains could not be solved efficiently and timely, and CNC could not know the total number and IP addresses of spam email sources in its network.It gives the outline design for the above needs and functionality, so that the system could automatically take and analyze complaining emails, actively create black list, and actively scan spam email sources.Meanwhile the essay gives detail design on functionality based on the three main parties of requirements, including analysis module for email complains, black list contrasting module and scanning module for OPENRELAY/OPENPROXY.It includes the coding design for the three major modules, finishes the total design and development for CNC-SAMS system, and covers the implementation and testing solution.This essay is the outline design documents of Complaining handling system for spam emails for CNC Group, and is the baseline for following detail design. It will become the key document for internal employees to understand this project. |
