Design And Implementation Of Olympic Multilingual Comprehensive Information System

Olympic Multilingual comprehensive information system is the project that Capinfo promise to provide the Olympic multilingual service. Since 2001, Beijing China successfully bid the hosting of the 29^th Olympic Games. The Beijing government promised that any person could safely, conveniently, quickly, efficiently get the information at anywhere anytime and in any way. So, since 2002, Capinfo began to cooperate with the partners in different domains include the machine translation, TTS, ASR and content management. All of these partners are the best player in these domains. At the same time, the 863 national technology program, the national science and technology department and the Beijing science and technology department provide support for this project in these years.From 2006 to 2008, Capinfo created the Olympic Multilingual Comprehensive information system. This project was divided into four sections. They are Olympic Games research, system requirement analysis; the system design and system carry out. In the thesis, I describe all aspects of the system creation. Project management is the most important part of the project execution. We define the rules for the project management according to the CMMI standard and manage the project. At last, the result proven that the project management is the most import factor to guarantee the project successfully. At the same time, Capinfo pass the CMMI 3 level evaluation.During the project implementation, based on the machine translation, ASR, TTS and content management technology, under the Olympic Multilingual Comprehensive Information System support, Capinfo provide the multilingual services to the foreigner in Beijing. These services are device rent, multilingual information portal and translation service. Under the help of these services, the foreigner could access amount of travel information in so many category. In these services we provide the information by the mobile device and wireless data communication.There are 7 chapters in the thesis. In the chapter 1,I describe the background of the project. In the chapter 2, there is the research of the other Olympic Games information service. Chapter 3, it's the requirement analysis. Chapter 4, it's the system design. Chapter 5, it's the key technology research. Chapter 6 describes the project management. The last chapter is some services provided by this project.
