The Design Of The Embedded-Vehicle Intelligent Terminal Based On WINCE

In recent years, with the rapid development of automobile industry, vehicle intelligent terminal has been becoming more and more popular so that some of automobile manufacturers have considered it as an essential part of a vehicle. However, the research on vehicle intelligence terminal is still in its initial stage in our country, even there is currently no such a product providing these functions like geographic information services, wireless internet access, anti-theft alarming .This paper attempts to design a kind of Embedded-vehicle intelligent terminal based on WINCE. First, the hardware platform consists of expanding GPS module, GPRS module and USB camera, using the MagicARM270 of Guangzhou Zhiyuan company as the basic platform. Secondly, we need customize the kernel on WINCE and program the ADC stream interface driver. At last, the functions of geographic information service, wireless internet access, anti-theft alarming are basically achieved.Among these functions, geographic information service adopts the technique of WebGIS, which has more advantages than the traditional GIS, including worldwide users, free resources, independent platform, rich application interface and so on. WebGIS is becoming the future of geographic information system. The design achieves many functions on dual maps (Electronic map or Satellite map) including: displaying, positioning, zooming and moving, landmark labeling, local search, distance calculation, guidance of road.Wireless internet access depends on the use of GPRS module. Although the transmission rate of today's GPRS network is not satisfying, the advent of 3G networks will solve this problem effectively.Anti-theft alarming module is another important part in the design, which protects the drivers and vehichles. Real-time alcohol acquisition, call help, message help, vehicle tracking as well as other functions can prevent drivers and vehicles from damage, theft and loss.Therefore, the design of vehicle intelligent terminal has been with a profound significance and market prospects.
