In the 14th meeting of ITU-R,2.5-2.69GHz band was divided for 3G FDD and TDD system. In 2007 October ITU added WIMAX to 3G family.WIMAX based on the 802.16-2005 standard systems can use the frequency band range of:2.495-2.69 GHz.AS China's current 2.5-2.69GHz band on the specific division can not be determined,it may lead to the coexistence situation of 802.16-2005 system and other 3G systems in the future in some geographic regions, such as the "hot spot" areas.Due to the nonlinear characteristics of Transmitter and receiver, there will be mutual interference between the different systems, these may lead to loss of capacity and decline of system performance. In this paper, the main interference between 3G system is analyzed and simulated based on the uncertainty calculation method and static Monte Carlo simulation method. The coexistence between the base station of WIMAX systems based on the 802.16-2005 standard and WCDMA,CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA system on the 2.5-2.69GHz frequency is analyzed using uncertainty analysis method;the coexistence research between the base station and mobile station, and the coexistence between the mobile station of WIMAX system and TD-SCDMA system are using Monte Carlo simulation analysis method.Firstly, the paper introduced the background and significance of the project "Investigation of Coexistence for 3G Mobile Systems',as well as the progress and the key technologies of the 3G system including WCDMA,CDMA200,TD-CSDMA and WIMAX standards. While the emergence and types of interference introduce briefly.Secondly, the paper gave the methods, the flow of Simulation and the simulation design of the coexistence interference research between 3G systems. Finally, the paper focused on the analysis of simulation results, and the solution of interference, then gave a further study work plan. The research project is one of Communications Standard Research Institute,CATR,MII's projects. It not only provides a useful basis for 3G systems spectrum allocation, but also provides technical analysis reserves for coexistence of 3G systems.
