For controlling cost, it's main way to decrease payout in order to increase profit. In general, purchasing department in a corporation manages 40%-50% bankroll, so it's the most important for controlling cost in the company. On the other hand, managing well in it, we needn't invest additionally.During these years, purchasing information management system was gained ground. More and more corporations made the great progress in the cost control with engineering science and manufacture assistant theory. But with more and more competition among corporations, there were much demands to use more efficient tools on the internal purchasing support.Decision Support System (DSS) is the computer application system for decision-making. The system is base on the mathematics model and man-machine conversation system which is the semi-structured and non- structured. It's the higher level of management information system (MIS). It offers the surrounding of anglicizing project, setting up model and simulating the decision process. It uses all kinds of information resource and analysis tools to help decision maker to advance their decision level and quality.The article mainly showed the detailed application of purchasing decision support system. Firstly, it introduced the background information of this project such as relative process and regulate in company. The ISO process and finance process were main parts of it.Secondly, the information were collected and made the relative operation process chart and purchasing decision process chart. These charts were the structure basement of whole DSS. Meanwhile, the report forms in the company were collected according to these process charts, then distilled the relative format information to set up database which was the rock-bottom data stream of DSS.Thirdly, some mathematics models were built according to these processes. I linked some financial knowledge in it. The time value of bankroll was the key point. Arithmetic optimization also was setting up. And I defined the mathematic model interface in order to link and transfer these models by system.Fourthly, above the key elements were established in the computer software. The project made use of Visual Foxpro for software system in order to not only expatiate the project in theory, but also make it into true to validate the conclusion of studying. Finally, through relative data compare, the veracity was validated during the application ofpurchasing case.
