| Energy consumption of base station is 90% of that of all equipments in mobile communication system, thus saving energy in base station is key in the work of energy-saving and emission reducing in communication system.Multi-carrier base station has power amplifier with high efficiency, and it is high in integration and also it can reduce transmission power of carrier, so multi-carrier base station is an effective solution to save energy in base station. However, the current energy-saving technologies in multi-carrier base station are due to the development of hardware, this paper presents a multi-carrier sharing power algorithm, which can effectively reduce the power consumption in the view of algorithm design.Multi-carrier sharing power algorithm is applied in power limited scenario. When the call comes, power needed of the call is estimated, and the average available power of each slot where the available channel are located in is calculated, according the two power values, channel allocation is implemented. Through the multi-carrier sharing power algorithm, a smaller power amplifier can be used to meet the needs of network users, so as to achieve the purpose of reducing power consumption.In this paper, the simulation platform is used to validate the performance of the algorithm. Simulation results show that multi-carrier sharing power algorithm can effectively reduce power consumption under the premise of guaranteeing the quality of the network. In the scenarios of this paper, power consumption is reduced by 33.3%. |
