| As a characteristic and indispensable communication means of the power system, power line carrier communication is the guarantee of economic dispatch and reliable operation of the power system. With the increasing demands of communication quality and competition of other communication technologies, traditional analog devices were unable to meet the current requirements. The applications of the high-performance DSPs, FPGAs and high-speed ADCs and DACs, make the digital power line carrier has basically replaced the traditional analog equipments. Moreover, the utilization of voice compression, TDM, multidimensional encoding and multi-level modulation and other digital technologies make the system can achieve multiple voice and remote data transmission without increasing the bandwidth, which greatly increased bandwidth efficiency. In the paper, a implementation scheme of a FPGA-based multiplexer was proposed, with which and the realized digital power line carrier based on DSP, a solution of the multi-channel power line carrier communication system was proposed. In addition to utilizes the FPGA for digital multiplexing, the multiplexer also uses a high-performance vocoder AMBE-2000TM for voice compression, and makes use of a V.34 Modem based on Si2434 for baseband modulation and demodulation, which makes the system able to transmit six-channel voice or remote signals with the data rate up to 33.6kbit/s. Meanwhile, there is a analog remote modem that ensures it's compatibility with the traditional power line carrier.Around the system model and communication principle of the multi-channel power line carrier communication system, this paper focus on the discussion of the design and implementation principle of the multiplexer, FPGA design and implementation of the analog remote modem and digital SSB carrier. |
