| PC and Digital Products has been more and more popular in today's world which brings Universal Serial BUS to become the stardard interface. More and more USB based peripheral appeared, such as digital camera, scanner, mouse and etc. USB based device support plug and play and has the advantage such as easily installing, low cost and etc. USB has two kind product. USB host mainly refer to PC while USB product in the market mainly refer to device. Some complex chip support both USB master interface an slave interface.With the integration develop, today's SOC system has reached hectowatt scale. According to Moore's Law, transistor density will double every 18 months while power technology need 5 years to reach the same speed. So power technology has been the bottleneck of SOC system. Extra current will reduce the chip life and its dependability. System will be invalid when dynamic voltage falls seriously, so the reduction of chip power become one of the key factors in today's Interated Circuit.The thesis do some research about USB device IP design, and add low power technique into the design. The IP achieve basic function according to USB protocol, finish Transceiver module, Controller module, configuration module, verify the IP coverage and synthesize under SMIC35 technology. Low power will be added into design at last, which caused the reduction of original power to 78%, reaching the expected effect.The thesis alse provide dependable interface as the post process design, which fully consider the reuse of IP. It gives the reference of the design module such as AMBA interface, MCU process interface and etc. |
