The problem of energy crisis is becoming more serious. A lot of countries pay much attention to seek clean and renewable energy at present. Methanol gasoline gets a lot of attention,because it is economical, clean and green. A automated production control system of methanol gasoline based on PLC is designed.Batch feeder is the most important working procedure in the entire production process. According to the features of existing batch feeder methods, a feeder methods based on weighing is applied in this system.ControlLogix controller is used as the main station to control production and communication while industrial control computer is used as a sub-station to monitor production. Frequency converters, weighing modules and FLEX I/O modules are accessed to the system by DeviceNet, but not by hard-wired.Fast and low feeding speed are combined to improve productivity and precision. Estimating excess algorithm is used to guide stop feeding before the weigh reach the set point.The control system needs PLC program and upper computer monitoring pictures. PLC program is written by RSLogix5000 and monitoring pictures are compiled by RSView32. Furthermore, PLC program and upper computer monitoring pictures are simulated and debugged by RSLogix Emulate 5000.All the work above lay a solid foundation for the implementation of on-site.
