With the development of network and multimedia technology, problems such as information security and copyright protection are getting more and more attention. At present, digital video technology is one of the effective ways to solve copyright protection of digital products. Since research and development in video watermarking combined with the standard of H.264/AVC are still limited, this article mainly focuses on discussion and practice about video watermarking based on the H.264/AVC coding standard, in consideration of the needs of the program administrative system of data security under net environment. At the beginning, this thesis systematically summarizes the research status of video watermarking algorithm and principles, application and the characteristics of video watermarking etc. In order to design the watermarking algorithm balanceable in robustness, security, and other aspects, the furhter research for the framework and key technologies of H.264 codec is done. Then, there is a description and analysis of the watermark pre-processing methods and several typical video watermarking algorithms. This paper proposes a DCT-domain video watermarking algorithm. The main innovational points are as following: Select a suitable location in all 4×4 transform block of I-frame; replace coefficient value of the embedded point adaptively according to the energy value of transform block and the value of watermark. The algorithm can be implemented without original video and achieves the blind detection feature. In order to enhance the rate-distortion performance of the watermarked video stream, the algorithm introduces the coding control model of Lagrangian optimization algorithm. In the end, the proposed algorithm is realized by Visual C++ software programming. There is a series simulation test of invisible, anti-weight-based attacks, anti-noise attack and attacks against frame erasing and a quantitative analysis for test results and qualitative analysis compared with other algorithms. Experimental data shows that this algorithm can be used as an applied technology of copyright protection with certain theoretical and practical application value.
