The leaf color is the most important features of Field crops. It can intuitively reflect changes in chlorophyll content and reflect photosynthesis ,nutrients ,moisture content planting information in the process of growing crops. It provides an important basis for the field crop management, the growth of seedlings of diagnosis and the fertility of seedlings. The nitrogen content directly affect growing soybeans, and the nitrogen content and chlorophyll are significantly correlated. The paper studies the chlorophyll of the leaves of soybean using machine vision in order to guide the fertilization of soybeans.The paper studies the leaves of soybean and gets the leaf chlorophyll content using chlorophyll meter. Using dimensional view camera, object to the leaves of field soybean ,the images for different periods of the soybean leaf are median filter preprocessed. Through the pretreatment, the color mean of the channel R, G, B and H,I,S is extracted.. The correlation between the value of 2G-R-B and chlorophyll content by using the color histogram. The correlation coefficient of 0.864 and R~2 is 0.7739. The correlation coefficient between the value of H and chlorophyll content is -0.594 and R~2 is 0.3682.
