| Video Surveillance with its convenient, intuitive, content-rich and are widely used in security monitoring and so on, for the industries and environmental monitoring of security plays a vital role, in recent years, embedded video surveillance into the mainstream. Currently, embedded video monitoring chip solutions mainly include RISC+RISC structure, RISC+DSP structure, RISC+FPGA structure and so on. However, defects exit in all above methods, for example, poor flexibility, bad suitability for doing single chip system, disconnection with system control and algorithm processing. With the launch of DSP+ARM dual-core DM6446 chip by TI company in 2005, embedded video monitoring system developed from this chip is able to overcome these shortcomings. Currently, developing in embedded video monitoring system based on DM6446-based has become a hot point in monitoring area. This paper shows a new video surveillance system realized on DM644 design, in core of TI TMS320DM6446 chip, it uses its unique dual-DSP+ARM core architecture and richful on-chip peripherals. The detailed work of this paper is as follows:(1) Study in DM6446 internal structure:research ARM core and DSP core resource allocation and communication, etc. Analyze functions of each DM6446 internal module, and propose a whole structure based on DM6446 embedded video monitoring system, which combined with DM6446, TVP5146, CCD cameras and other hardwares.(2) Study principles in DM6446 software development and design system software framework; develop the program of BootLoader and uImage system with combined hardware structure,, and also give ways of developing DM6446 software platform.(3) Develop system applications program based on Linux multi-threaded programming techniques, which realizes functions of video capture, OSD display, H.264 compression and network transmission. By writing MontaVista Linux self-started scripts, take network transmission module as the system backstage of self-running program when booting system.Laboratory tests show that each module operates normal, monitoring video works smoothly and the system runs stable, which almost meet the requirements of design. |
