Development Of Intelligent Video Surveillance System Based On DM6446

Being such an important river as West Lake to Hangzhou city, Qiantang River will become agrand canal which runs through the middle of the city, and it’s impact on people’s lives and theirenvironment will be deepened further. But at the same time, there also exist some potential safetyproblems that may easily result in accidents. Therefore, it’s a great challenge for us to prevent thetidal disaster and protect this world wonders and make it serve for the development of Hangzhoucity. In view of the major natural disasters in Zhejiang Province, "tidal disaster" has been includedin the main technical areas during the eleventh five-year plan.With moving object detection and video surveillance combined, an intelligent videosurveillance system is proposed for the detection and automatic warning of Qiantang River.According to the tidal detection of Qiantang River, this paper discusses some related technologiesof intelligent video surveillance system. A design proposal which allows the transplanting ofmoving target detection algorithm to the server-side is offered to overcome the shortage of videosurveillance systems on the market. After the intensive study of image processing technology, andby combining inter-frame difference and Sobel image edge detection technique, an improvedinter-frame difference algorithm which can be ported to embedded server is proposed. At thecompletion of monitoring system research and design, four parts including video capture, videoanalysis, video encoding and video transmission is ready for the server with the help of DM6446DSP embedded software development technology. Under the Windows operating system, the clientmainly consists of information interaction module based on network communication technology,video decoding module based on ffmpeg and video display module by DirectShow.Based on tidal video of Qiantang River, improved inter-frame algorithm is verified in this paper.In contrast of other moving target detection algorithms, the improved algorithm has goodrecognition effect and quick speed, and can be used in the detection of Qiantang River’s tide. On theother hand, the system test shows that the intelligent video surveillance system which takes theimproved algorithm as the core module can work in a stable state and has good recognition effect inmoving object detection whit low delay. The result shows the intelligent video surveillance systembased on DM6446 has the application value.
