Cardiopathy is a chronic and severe disease that threats people's lives because of its hign dangerousness.So it is important to research and develop the remote electrocardiogram (ECG) signal monitoring system. This thesis introduces remote ECG monitoring system which meets the requirement of patient with heart diseases to enjoy medical care out of hospital and has a characteristic of low cost and strong function.The system designs two solutions which are different from analog to digital transmission. These solutions are demonstrated further, finally the digital remote ECG monitoring system is chosed to realize. This article works on the implementation of a FPGA-based ECG acquisition and Ethernet transmission system. The front-end of the system is the signal conditioning circuit which can realizes the extraction of high-quality ECG data. The key circuit of the system is the A/D conversion module and the Ethernet interface module, which is designed by using Cyclone EP1C6Q240C8 microcontroller as core, and it realizes data acquisition and transmission to the remote hospital in Ethernet. Using LabVIEW, the ECG signal dispalying, printing and data sharing are realized in the software sysytem .By using the application software of the remote PC to receive the ECG signal data, the system has completed the basic function that would acquire data and transfer in Ethernet, which proves the possibility of remote ECG signal monitoring.
