In today's daily life, more and more people use a fixed telephone, mobile phone, PDA, PC, fax and other communication terminals. With the rapid development of communication terminals and demonstrated the diversity of the existing terminal, the terminal business functions can no longer meet the growing communication needs of users, the users need several terminals to complete a variety of communications. This would not only allow users to feel the inconvenience, increasing the operation difficulty, but also make the user's cost remains high. Therefore, how to solve the interconnection of different devices, the same terminal includes many functions, became an urgent problem. Technology along with user needs arise.In 2009, with the increasing demand for multimedia services, as a good basic technology and can provide fixed-mobile service convergence, IMS began to playing an increasingly important commercial role. IMS-based client will become a new mode of communication, with the issuances of 3G licenses, IM on Mobile, including MMS, CRBT (Coloring Ring Back Tone), Pictures, and blog, mobile TV and so on will be fully exploited. The future evolution of mobile networks is bound to the direction to All-IP, whether it is business itself, or the way of carrying voice, data and multimedia to All-IP. And the core network IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) will be served as a Platform to Provide multimedia communication, IMS is considered as the core technology of the next generation network, also is a solution for integration of mobile and fixed network, and the important way to solve the integration of voice, data and video. In this paper, mainly researched the instant messaging system based on browser server architecture in the IP Multimedia Subsystem, focuses on the instant messaging system, client-side design and implementation. First and foremost,this dissertation introduced the IMS, SIP and other protocols in detail, analyzed its architecture and composition, as well as client development related to key technologies involved; Then studied the instant messaging system overall structure,and put forword ANMTALK client software architecture,based on instant messaging system, introduced the presence platforms, instant messaging platforms, function modules of the detailed descriptions of the analysis of ANMTALK client and the interface of these two business platform and associated services business signaling processes; finally, introduced the implementation of ANMTALK client,as well as how to test client's performance and ability to interact with the IMS network,and prospected of the future development of instant messaging and summed up the deficiencies need to improve.
