Nowadays, with the rapid development of information technology, business operation and academic research make more and more mass data storage. with the growing challenge of information, the enterprises are turn to use the Storage Area Network (SAN). Along with the uninterrupted development of informatization, in order to gain a better security of the SAN Network, better equipment and channel, and improve the system efficiency and fault recovery capacity expansion ability, and to achieve more advanced management to provide convenient, saving the management cost of LAN, a kind of new technology is more and more attentioned, namely VSAN (Virtual Storage Area Network). VSAN is a kind of higher security exchange arrays and extensibility mechanism in Fibre Channel. In physics VSAN can provided isolation for the same exchange between the arrays, and equipment in a common physical infrastructure to create more logical SAN. Compared whit the isolation in physical in the SAN, VSAN can provide more flexibility. A device transfer from a VSAN to another VSAN, need only in port configuration, without level of physical movement.Based on the development status of VSAN network, the principle of VSAN and VFT_Header technology are analyzed, and combining with actual target product development process, the requirement analysis of EVFP (virtual optical parameters) functions in VSAN is detailed. EVFP works for judging between ports and how to support VFT_Header to help accomplish the data controlling and blocking function of VSAN network. This paper describes each module in EVFP functions, and the high level design and low level design and coding phase of the system is also described, and the testing process. Finally to introduce the problems in the process of finishing the EVFP functions and the development of VSAN network technology. The implementation of EVFP functions in VSAN uses the C programming language to code. EVFP functions as the basic function of VSAN network help VSAN network achieve the function of dividing the SAN in logical using the hardware of SAN, thus thoroughly changed the way of SAN's deployment, VSAN networks deployed for enterprises to provide the better and more flexible storage network technology service.
