Design And Implementation Of Hotel Network Management Based On SNMP

Beijing Unicom is a telecommunication service provider who is focused on how to provide a reliable broadband Internet service to the hotel customer.Hotels' network is located in different areas as some single information islands.Because of the lack of effective network management monitoring ways and management tools to handle the large number of hotels and many network equipments, it is a big difficulty to operate and maintain network equipments and network resource managements work well.It is a very emergent need for the network service provider to build a centralized network management platform based on the existing Hotel broadband network. However, due to the dispersion of various hotels and businesses, to build a centralized network management platform is very difficult.The author analyses the overall demand for hotel network management system based on the annual work, uses SNMP protocol to gather the equipment information, uses CORBA technology to communicate between modules, proposes a hotel network management system design and implementation scheme based on SNMP Network Management System.This article focuses on traffic management subsystem and fault management subsystem design and implementation process, including the theory of traffic collection, the modular design of sub-module and the process between sub-modules.
